Mid-December Discussion Group Update 11/12/23

Posted on 11/12/202311/12/2023 by Malcolm

Just a quick note while we’re on our Christmas break. I’ve put together a slide pack for mid-December to keep you updated on the latest in revenues and benefits.

In this pack, you will see more information on two hot topics we often talk about. First, more councils are facing financial challenges, with some even declaring section 114. Secondly, the rental market is heating up. There’s also a great report from Alex Clegg at the Resolution Foundation about the effects of LHA rates.  There is also some case law of note.

Also, don’t forget our new series of Automation and AI workshops starting on Tuesday, January 31, 2024. To sign up, head over to https://bit.ly/VNAA24. We’ll kick off with sessions from GovTech on automated payment and ICS AI on AI co-piloting for assessments and applicants.

We’re also excited to offer a new subscription service for our CTR rewrite. This service allows you to spread the cost over five years and ensures consistent service during this time. With recent changes to welfare benefits announced in the autumn statement and an upcoming general election, this could be a valuable and reassuring option for you. Check out https://bit.ly/CTRP23 for more details.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll reconvene on January 8, 2024.

Take care!

There is no recording for this week The slide pack is attached, and the reports and tables mentioned in both the slide pack and recording can be found below.

Please note that the slide pack contains additional slides covering other items of interest in the news and job adverts, which are provided in partnership with Business Smart (https://www.businesssmartsolutions.co.uk/).

We also have a WhatsApp group where you can stay connected and participate in further discussions. You can join us here: https://bit.ly/3Qjrkqe.
