Jan 1 2024 Revenues and Benefits Update Pack

Posted on 02/01/2024 by Malcolm

Happy New Year.

I wanted to drop you a quick message during our holiday break. I’ve prepared a pack with the latest updates on revenues and benefits, covering what’s been happening with council finances and recent developments from the last couple of weeks. There’s some positive news about the funding settlement, although it still doesn’t fully bridge the gap caused by many years of limited investment in public services. The pack also includes other important statistics and legal cases.

We’ll meet again next Monday, January 8, 2024, to talk about funding and discuss a new report from the Resolution Foundation with its author.

Remember, our new Automation and AI workshops are starting on Tuesday, January 31, 2024. You can sign up at https://bit.ly/VNAA24. We’re starting with sessions on automated payment systems and AI support for assessments.

In late February, we’ll have the second workshop of the series.

We’re also launching a new subscription service for our CTR rewrite. This lets you spread the cost over five years, providing steady service during this period. With the recent changes in welfare benefits and the upcoming election, this could be a helpful option for you. More information is available at https://bit.ly/CTRP23.

Looking forward to catching up soon!

Take care!
