About Damian
Damian has a decade of private sector commercial experience, and over twenty years’ experience delivering innovative systems for local and central government that streamline business whilst increasing positive outcomes for customers. Since 2019, his main focus has been AI R&D and delivering AI solutions for local government.
Damian began his career as a PC Support Manager in a City of London investment company before contracting for FTSE100 companies such as TSB, Shell UK and Andersen Consulting. He founded the UK’s second cybercafé in 1994 and an Internet development company in 1995, training over 100 companies in how to benefit from the emerging Web revolution. Damian co-founded the software development company Team Netsol in 1999, which grew to operate online Revenues & Benefits systems for over 80 local authorities. Damian was the Technical Authority for Scotland’s 2011 Census and has worked on funded AI research projects since 2019 under the ERDF, Turing Catalyst and Innovate UK programmes. Prior to joining the Team, Damian was working for a frontier AI lab on evaluation of their unreleased LLM models and agent harnesses.
